Portuguese shoes continues to attract followers from around the world, and is now reaching over 130 countries in all continents.
During the first nine months of 2012, exports of Portuguese shoes grew by 2% to 54 million pairs, worth more than 1.2 billion euros.
Portuguese exports are growing in almost every market, but more significantly outside of Europe.
In fact, sales in Europe have practically stabilized, forcing companies to find alternatives abroad. It is worth noting, therefore, the growth of exports in countries like Russia (31% growth to 19 million euros), USA (51% to 16 million euros), Japan (231% to 10 million euros), Angola (19% to 9.9 million euros) and Canada (1% to 9.5 million euros).
Innovative design, high level of responsiveness – specifically to small-sized orders – good quality and service excellence are some of the main competitive arguments that make Portuguese shoes one of the greatest international references.
