The portuguese footwear industry is strengthening, in 2009, its presence in the major international events of the sector. Over than 120 portuguese companies, participating this year, in actions abroad in the largest-ever offensive in the portuguese footwear markets.
The presence of portuguese companies will be in 13 different markets, with an investment of 8, 5 Million Euros, wich has the support of the Compete Program.
Since the beginning of the year the portuguese footwear has it’s presence in the major international fairs. This March, 75 companies participated in Micam - Milan, 15 in Modacalzado in Madrid and 30 in GDS in Dusseldorf.
The Portuguese footwear is still in fairs in Copenhagen, London, Paris, Moscow and Tokyo. The global objective of this campaign is to promote exports to go where more than 90% of the Portuguese footwear.
The bet in foreign markets is the first priority for the portuguese footwear industry which exports more than 90% of its production. Stimulate the demand, qualifying offer, differentiate positively the portuguese footwear for their competitors and look for new opportunities in markets with high potential of growth in the future are the other objectives of this campaign.
