The experience of the wisest, combined with the irreverence and innovation of future generations, has contributed to a capable response to the demands of a constantly evolving footwear sector.
Initially dedicated to the sale of leathers, it quickly evolved to the sale of finished leathers with the opening of its own warehouse and then the company we know today, A. Castro & Filhos Lda.
As a result of its strong growth, A.Castro & Filhos decided in 2008 to acquire new and modern facilities to meet the increasing demands of the market, both in terms of quantities and quality. At this time, the company was already selling vegetable leathers.
Innovation and differentiation are in the company’s DNA, which is why, in 2015, a finishing unit was installed where it now develops and produces its collections. The company assumes itself environmentally and socially responsible, having obtained in June 2021 the demanding certification by the LWG (Leather Working Group).
