The pandemic did not set back Mariano Shoes. With 75 years of existence, the footwear company Mariano is internationalizing the brand through the digital channels and is aiming at the women segment.
All Around Shoes, the new shareholder of the brand, has already invested one million euros to internationalize Mariano. "The main priority is to reintroduce it worldwide and we’re confident that, when the pandemic is over, we’ll be able to quickly set Mariano as an international reference”, explained Fátima Oliveira, the Executive Director of All Around Shoes.
Fátima Oliveira also stated that 80% of Mariano Shoes’ sales are to external markets, being the USA, the United Kingdom and France the main markets, and that’s why part of the investment is going to online channels. "The online feedback reveals that there’s a great acceptance and knowledge of the brand”.
The company from São João da Madeira wants to invest, besides the internationalization through online channels, in projects connected to the saddlery sector.
However, there’s more news! Now, Mariano has a collection for women with eight models. The goal is to continue to invest in this segment, and the brand has already a few sandals models in mind for the next summer collection.
