Over the last 56 years ArautoRAP or just RAP as it is more commonly known, has established itself as a pioneer in a new generation of accessible quality footwear for children. RAP is represented in USA, Canada and several other European countries but mainly in the Scandinavian market. The origin and creation of the brand is purely Portuguese but with a Danish touch which gives it, it’s recognizable handwriting.

RAP quality is the result of 6 generations of family working in the footwear industry, which lead us to become one of the pioneers when it comes to environmentally friendly shoe production.  RAP only uses the best hides from animals raised only for human consumption, we use natural crepe soles which are the most organic soles available at the moment, and water based glue in the assembly of our shoes. Almost all our raw materials come from suppliers local to the factory, and our boxes are made of recyclable carton. We are proud to say that we respect nature and are continually learning and implementing new ways of improving our production to be as green as possible. RAP fulfil all requirements demanded by the R.E.A.C.H regulations.

All our products are manufactured in our own factory in Portugal, where we have a very high quality control, making RAP one of the brands with the lowest returns or quality claim percentage. Our workers at the factory, have a long and strong education on shoes, and the majority of them have worked with us from the very start of their careers.

Every single pair of shoes passes through a set of handmade production steps by a minimum of 30 separate sets of hands that make sure that all details are taken care of and that no product is delivered to the market without being seasoned with our secret ingredient …LOVE for shoes.
