Overcube donates 970 surgical gowns

The first solidarity initiative of OvercubeCollectiva

The initial goal was to donate 600 surgical gowns to the National Health System (NHS). However, the first Overcube’s solidarity initiative has gathered 2374.49€, which allowed the purchase of 970 surgical gowns, which will help health professionals that are in the frontline against the virus.
“Together, We’re the Solution” is the name of the initiative that marked the first solidarity project of OvercubeCollectiva, the social responsibility area of Overcube, a Portuguese footwear and accessories e-commerce from Kyaia Group. From 30 March to 31 May 2020, an exclusive footwear selection from Foreva, Fly London and Softinos was for sale to a maximum amount of 50€, from which 10% of the value of each sold pair of shoes would be destined to support the National Health System in the fight against COVID-19.
This was the first OvercubeCollectiva, the newly launched social responsibility department of Overcube. A project that was born from the belief that brands, as influence agents, should try to understand how they can positively influence the lives of others.

New initiative in motion
When this initiative ended, OvercubeCollectiva launched a new project. “Portugal COmVIDas” has as goal to gather 4000€ that will be used to purchase several protection equipment for the “Portugal COmVIDas” professionals that work in nursing homes throughout the whole country. From 1 June to 30 September 2020, from an exclusive footwear selection from Foreva, Fly London and Softinos, although it is expected that other Portuguese brands will join, 10% of the value of each sold pair of shoes will go to support the institution from which the initiative is named after. Just by clicking and from the comfort from our homes, is so easy to participate in this initiative. To participate, you only have to go to the OvercubeCollectiva section, in Overcube’s website, and explore the exclusive selection of solidarity brands. The proposals for women, men and children included in this campaign have a maximum price of 50€.
