ECCO, the world-leading shoes’ brand, has built its success on the quality of its products and innovative technology. Established in 1984, ECCO Portugal has been operating for over four decades. The company has 710 employees, and its production is exclusively for the ECCO Group.
Founded in 1963, ECCO is one of the few major shoes manufacturers in the world to own and manage every step of the shoemaking process. ECCO has tanneries in China, Holland, Indonesia and Thailand to produce the leather that is predominantly aimed to ECCO’s footwear production.
The shoes are developed and produced in factories in Portugal, Indonesia, China, Thailand and Vietnam. The multinational group – ECCO – is active in 98 markets, has 2020 shops around the world, employs more than 20.000 people of 89 different nationalities.
