Inducol
INDUCOL is a tannery founded in 1978, with its headquarters and manufacturing facilities located in central Portugal, dedicated to the processing and finishing of sheepskins with wool for apparel, footwear, upholstery, and leather goods.
Equipped with a state-of-the-art machinery park, an optimized layout, and a modern technological laboratory for research and innovation, the company ensures not only experimental development at every stage of production, but also the research of new fashion trends, colors, and textures, developed for fashion and luxury markets worldwide.
INDUCOL defines itself as an environmentally friendly company and a pioneer in environmental control and protection. As early as 1989, it built its own wastewater treatment plant, which strictly complies with all legally established parameters, and it continues to pursue and define new non-polluting production processes.
The entire production process complies with the REACH regulation for restricted and prohibited chemicals since its implementation. The company has also signed up to the MRSL and PRSL projects of leading fashion brands, investing in an ecological and innovative production process.
As an environmentally conscious company, INDUCOL is certified under ISO 9001 and is registered with ZDHC for all chemicals used in its production process.
The company has also joined the Leather Working Group and remains committed to continuous improvement in order to gradually achieve higher levels of certification.
Equally concerned with the social well-being of its employees, the company is currently in the process of implementing a social responsibility standard.
With traceability becoming increasingly important, INDUCOL is well prepared to manage this issue efficiently, as it carries out the entire production process from the initial stage to the final product. It works exclusively with raw materials originating from the Iberian Peninsula, not purchasing any semi-processed raw materials or materials from other origins, which allows for full traceability across the entire raw material supply chain.
All of these aspects are of paramount importance, contributing significantly to the company’s continuity and success.
These conditions allow its main product, known as “merino doubleface,” to become a benchmark in the global high-fashion segment, earning a reputation for credibility and quality among some of the most prestigious fashion designers and stylists.
Maintaining a stance of global competitiveness, the company ensures permanent contact with its clients, either directly or through its international agents, as well as a close, hands-on commercial policy aimed at supporting research and development of new articles and finishes in line with fashion trends.
We are excited to meet you and offer the best options.
