Curtumes Boaventura
The company's genesis dates back to the 1940s, having been founded in 1945 by Mr. Boaventura Ferreira, father of Mr. Narciso Ferreira, the current administrator.
The company Curtumes Boaventura Lda. was established in 1980 with the second generation, by the sons Narciso and César Ferreira.
With the death of Mr. César Ferreira in 1991, Mr. Narciso Ferreira became the General Administrator. In the early 1990s, the company began its internationalization process, with participation in several international trade fairs. Along with strong growth, successive investments were made in cutting-edge production and environmental technology, as well as in human resource training. In 2000, the organization obtained ISO 9001 Quality Certification and in 2005, ISO 14001 Environmental Certification, a pioneering achievement in Portugal in our sector, maintaining continuous improvement to this day within the demands of the international market. Exploring all innovative technology with the aim of more sustainable tanning, including biodegradable, wet white, vegetable tanning processes, etc.
