From the 7th until the 10th of October, Lisboa hosted the national fashion celebration. ModaLisboa gathered at Estufa Fria and Capitólio the proposals of national fashion designers and brands for the next season. Two dozen catwalks filled up the edition of the event that celebrated its 30th anniversary this year.
Founded in 1998, Nobrand is the Pedreira group’s own brand. It is currently in more than twenty markets, employing 220 people.
In this edition, the Portuguese footwear was once again in the spotlight. In particular, the entire staff of ModaLisboa wore Portuguese Nobrand shoes, thus promoting the excellence of footwear made in Portugal. The white model complemented the blue and white uniform produced by Calvelex.
The presence in this type of events is part of the brand’ promotion and positioning strategy. Recently, the Spanish artist Alejandro Sanz wore Nobrand sneakers in the event which commemorated his star in the famous Walk of Fame.
For Luís Onofre, president of APICCAPS, this action "is the result of the collective effort to promote the Portuguese footwear in foreign markets”, and it is the type of initiative that "takes the national footwear to a new level”.
