2022 will be the year for the Portuguese Footwear Industry. We are ready to make some BIG changes, to be the role model for the global fashion industry.

In the next 3 years, we will invest 140 million euros to prepare our industry to fully embrace sustainability.

This means that we will radically change the way we work. This means that we will radically change the way we work. We’ll invest on our know-how and introduce cutting edge technology, new biomaterials and components, and introduce cutting edge technology, new biomaterials and components, to achieve maximum energetic efficiency; significantly reduce the carbon footprint of our products and the waste discarded along the entire production chain; and ensure transparency by shifting to traceable raw materials. A lot is changing, but the good things will stay the same.

Our industry has always been sustainable by nature, as leather is a byproduct of the food industry. We will always rely on it, making sure our products. And, most importantly, we will never forget our social responsibility to the 40 thousand local families that rely on us. The world is tired of waiting and so were we. At the Portuguese Footwear Industry the future is now!
