Although the name reminds us of France, it was born in the heart of Portugal. Fátima Carvalho launched Lachoix in 2018.

At the time, Fátima was fulfilling an old will of creating shoes for herself.Recently, she launched the collection ‘Portucale’, inspired by the different places of the country. All the brand’s collections are developed and produced in Portugal, with a special attention to detail from the beginning, with the materials selections.Get to know the face behind Lachoix.

How did this project emerge?
The brand emerged from a personal need of comfortable flat shoes that made a difference. The difficulty in finding flat shoes with special designs and materials gave me the will of launching Lachoix.

Was the footwear sector a natural choice?
Yes. I believe it’s the accessory details of the footwear that we make a difference.

How does Lachoix distinguish itself?
By the diversity and versatility it offers through the materials, colors and textures. Lachoix was designed for the charismatic women, who value the elegance and timelessness of a shoe.

What are the future plans for the brand? What can we expect?
We want to continue establishing the brand in the national market and reach new ones.

What piece of advice would you give to a youngster who is entering the industry?
Believe in the project and do not quit when facing adversities, that will happen as it’s a very complex industry. Finding good partners within the industry is essential, which also requires resilience as a key factor since establishing these partnerships is not easy.
