News Miguel Vieira Closes Milan Fashion Week

Miguel Vieira closed the schedule of physical shows at Milan Fashion Week this Sunday, marking a significant moment for Portuguese fashion on one of the industry’s most important international stages.

The Portuguese designer presented his new Spring/Summer 2027 collection at the Rotonda della Besana, taking the final slot on Milan Fashion Week’s physical show schedule. A particularly prominent position during a week that brought together some of the world’s leading fashion houses.

Miguel Vieira’s presence in Milan was part of the Portugal Fashion delegation, which once again brought several Portuguese names to some of the world’s leading international fashion stages this season. The show also marked the designer’s debut on Milan Fashion Week’s official womenswear calendar.

Alongside Miguel Vieira, Portuguese fashion was also represented in Milan by Marques’Almeida, which presented a runway show, while DAVII and Pé de Chumbo showcased their latest collections in the Italian city.

The presentation comes at a particularly symbolic moment for Miguel Vieira, who was recently awarded the Medal of Cultural Merit by Portugal’s Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, in recognition of his contribution to the promotion and internationalisation of Portuguese fashion.
