The Fashion & Fabric Museum, in Vila Nova da Gaia, is hosting the temporary exhibition "Next Generation”, with the emerging talents from Bloom and Sangue Novo, platforms for younger designers of Portugal Fashion and ModaLisboa, respectively.
The space joins six finalists from Bloom Powered by Sonae Fashion Contest: Marcelo Almiscarado and Maria Carlos Baptista, Huarte, Ahcor, Rita Ibs and Kensal. From the Sangue Novo platform, under the responsibility of ModaLisboa, the exhibition greets Filipe Cerejo, Ivan Hunga Garcia, Maria Clara, Maria Curado and Veehana.
For ModaLisboa, "this display of Sangue Novo was designed to make the innovative and meticulous work of construction and design of each designer appreciated up close, revealing the complex work behind each piece. The theme of identity, introspection and responsibility of the human being in the contemporary world is the guiding thread of the concepts of the five collections, made with the support of textile partnerships established by ModaLisboa with Tintex Textiles Calvelex/Fabric4Fashion and Riopele”.
For Portugal Fashion, "the exhibit is an opportunity to promote the work of new national fashion talents, as well as all the work that has been developed by BLOOM’s platform to project new names, some already with international projection, such as Maria Carlos Baptista, in Paris, and Huarte, who recently participated in the PF Sessions in Madrid”.
The exhibition will be on display from the 12th of November until the 9th of January 2022.
