Cindy Crawford is the latest name in the
list of international public figures to wear Portuguese shoes. The
actress and model was recently seen with a pair of sandals from Alameda
Turquesa.
Crawford posted a photo on her Instagram wearing the Nefertiti model sandal in gold, which is a limited-edition of the Turquoise Alameda. But this wasn't the first time the Portuguese brand was worn by international public figures. Most recently, it was Gigi Hadid who made a public appearance wearing a pair of the brand’s boots. However, the list doesn’t end here.
In 2017, Alameda Turquoise launched a capsule collection with Chiara Ferragni and Anna Dello Russo spoke of the brand in Vogue Japan
in 2015. In addition, Sofia Vergara promoted the brand on her social
networks, and Dua Lipa, Bella Hadid and Juliana Paes are some of Alameda
Turquoise's customers.
Alameda Turquesa was born in 2012 at the hands of Ana, Carolina's mother, who currently is the face of the brand. What started as a joke on social networks quickly evolved to another scale. Forbes has already highlighted an iconic piece of the Portuguese brand,
the Pinctada Pearls Shearling Mules slippers. The North American
magazine argued, at the time, that they were the must-have shoes for the
COVID-19 pandemic, "exactly what our feet need when all our life
happens at home”.
