News Sanjo launches a collection for children
Who doesn’t remember wearing the iconic Sanjo on their feet as a child? The memories of those times playing football on the streets with Sanjo have been passed down from generation to generation, but now they have become reality: Sanjo Kids has arrived. In the year it celebrates its ninetieth anniversary, the Portuguese brand expands its offer to the little ones. The first collaboration has already been introduced, featuring the special participation of Portuguese artist Wolf & Rita.

The goal is simple: to carry on the brand for another 90 years. "Our aim is to forge affective bonds between the adults and the children who wear the brand by creating an imaginary where children explore their creativity and immerse themselves in Sanjo’s DNA at an early age”, says Vitor Costa, Sanjo’s creative director.

The new collection is inspired by adult styles, and vice-versa. Fun, the yearning to enjoy life and escape the routine of the digital age served as motivation to transform the colours of the soles and patterns of the adult collection into proposals for the little ones. "We want Sanjo to feel like a common good, we don’t want to differentiate between genders or ages”, tells Vitor Costa, who believes it is possible to put all ages into Sanjo, making it a brand of and for the whole family, with matchy-matchy options for children and adults.

Following the know-how of the development and manufacturing made in Portugal, the creation of new models for all children enables the brand to continue broadening its offer.

The launch of Sanjo Kids is also accompanied by a special collaboration with the Portuguese artist "Wolf & Rita”. "Pattern Mint”, "Black Garden” and "Red Heart” are the three models that are part of this capsule, made up of patterns that pay tribute to Sanjo’s legacy while promising to be the best partners for many games.

The commitment to sustainability through environmentally conscious production processes, reduction in water and energy consumption and the choice of more ecological materials unites both brands that stand for the "proudly made in Portugal” insignia.
